Is there a way to create a new model?

I have downloaded the stand-alone model and it runs well. Is there a way I can create a new model in additional to the existing models such as Podra? Is this ture that I can only modify the existing models with different parameters/distributions, etc. ?

Hi,

RiskAnalytics as such does not directly allow to create or modify existing models. Models like Podra are rather model templates allowing you to create any number of claims generators, reinsurance contracts, ... but you don't have the full flexibility.

Currently it is necessary to write some code in order to get a new model. You may visit this link to have a look at the code of the Podra model.

So the answer to your question is yes, if you are willing to start coding. This restriction will be removed during this year as we are currently working on a visual model builder.
