PillarOne.RiskAnalytics v0.5 released
Components to model reserve risk and simple payout function. Running simulations in batch mode, views for comparing results, undockable tabs.
This release contains new components to generate reserve volatility and a simple payout function.
The user interface offers new, powerful convenience functions. How many times did you already wish you could easily compare two simulation results? Select a few results - yes it works with more than just two results - chose compare from the context menu and there you are, including difference heat maps. Compare also works for parametrizations.
For those of you who prefer floating windows: Tabs are undockable and you can drag tabs between different windows.
You can create batch queues, so you don't have to execute one simulation after another manually.
Not only Firefox has plugins - RiskAnalytics has plugins now, too. Models can be plugins, This makes RiskAnalytics much more modular, which in turns makes it easier to maintain proprietary, client-specific code in conjunction with the public released version.
The release notes contain more information on new features and a complete list of the issues which have been resolved can be found on the issue tracking system.
The source code is no longer included in the installer distribution, but of course you still have read access to the code repository. Be aware that due to the modularization - each plugin is a project now - the structure of the code repository has changed since the last version.
Outlook: The next release will contain components for IBNR calculation using reporting patterns and for paying claims according to payment patterns. With the next release we plan to provide a first version of the documentation.
