About the open source approach
PillarOne is a modelling platform, website forum and a community process - all powered by proven methodological and technical know-how.
The basic idea of PillarOne is to integrate current and new actuarial and technical methods into a sophisticated framework. Our open source software components are available for any interested party! Furthermore, the components can be adapted to different software systems.
In short: All PillarOne applications can be used in a stand-alone single user mode, as well as in a multi-user client-server mode.
From tools to risk models
The PillarOne platform contains a software for modelling, calibrating, calculating and presenting risk models for insurance organisations (Life or Non-life primary insurers, reinsurers and financial institutions with insurance-linked securities).
Why use it?
- To build partial internal models on the basis of standard models, and
- to build customized internal models on the basis of provided and self-developed components.
